Love is patient, love is kind.
It is not jealous, is not pompous,
it is not inflated, it is not rude,
it does not seek its own interests,
it is not quick-tempered, it does not brood over injury, it does not rejoice over wrongdoing
but rejoices with the truth.
Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never fails.
I love love. And I love to love! I love the many expressions of love: committed friendship, thoughtful gestures, authentic connection, well-spoken and sincere appreciation, simple sweetness, playful bursts of joy. Who doesn’t love love? I’ve had a lot of love on the brain lately. Perhaps it’s to be expected, planning a wedding and all. But I think it’s more than that. And I’m certainly not alone. It seems everywhere I turn there is another gentle reminder of the good in this world.
I stumbled on this card at the Little Bird Cafe, where I like to reflect and write and savor the hands-down-most-perfect cappuccino. I knew instantly which Story of Love I would share with this distant friend.
